While a lot of my work these days is focused on the tabletop and immersive spaces, I am a programmer by trade and have made my share of digital games over the years.

Arkaruga

Arkaruga is a reality-bending twist on the classic brick breaker genre. (Or a bold-faced mash-up of Arkanoid and Ikaruga, if you prefer.) It’s an arcade-style score attack game where you must shatter as many bricks as you can before you lose all of your lives.

Twindle
Digital
Twindle is a head-to-head variant of Josh Wardle’s popular puzzle game Wordle, based on a modified ruleset proposed by my friend Matthew Moore. Twindle is a heavily modified version of the React Wordle codebase developed by Hannah Park and Chase Wackerfuss.

Deckard is a Unity-based layout tool for card game prototyping, built for game designers who are already familiar with Unity’s built-in Canvas components.

Asterogue
Digital
Asterogue is a mobile brawler that combines procedural dungeons with an innovative gesture-based combat system. As you progress through the game’s 3 distinct worlds, you collect an arsenal of procedurally-generated weapons and abilities that are dropped by your foes.
Hokranoid
Digital
An homage to Ramiro Corbetta’s abstract indie soccer title Hokra. Hokranoid takes that same concept of two teams passing, tackling, and shooting their way to victory and puts its own Breakout-tinged spin on it.

A 1v1 deathmatch game played against an increasingly intelligent AI opponent, developed using Flixel for distribution via Adobe Flash.
Drop Ball Kinect

A Kinect-based motion sport for cartoon exercise enthusiasts created for the Adventure Time Game Jam.
Snakeman Tries His Best
Digital
Snakeman Tries His Best is an arcade-style shoot-em-up that I created to teach myself Unity during Global Game Jam 2012. The player controls the immortal Snakeman, who has dedicated himself to saving malnourished human prisoners from their robotic oppressors.
